SACRIFICE !

Sacrifice!

A word held so noble which can even define the
moral character of a person.

In simple terms, it is a loss of something
you give or do for a "Better Cause".

Mark my words again, "Better Cause".

But in due course of time the word has been confused so much with our own interpretations,
that the essence of the word is fading away. People offer sacrifice to gods which may include
fruits, flowers, blood, food, money and the list is countless.

People offer sacrifice by giving away money or food to a beggar.

People sacrifice their time and emotions to help their family and friends.

All looks well and fine with nothing wrong in that. But dear friends as I discussed above, sacrifice is
for a better cause. Does the blood, food, flowers you offered to the Gods is a for a better cause. If yes then for whom. If it brings fortune to you, then is it a sacrifice or hypocrisy.

THINK ON IT!

You may give something to a beggar, he may take it. He is happy for now. But ask yourself, what you did was good or better. If it is good then work for better. Get involved in social activities and bring smiles on the underprivileged.

We sacrifice our time and emotions to help our friends and family. Now if it is selfless, then you're flawless. But what if it is done so as to impress them, or have expectations to receive the same
in the future.

We all have our own way of deciphering the deep meaning of the word.
I have just provided the direction to go on.
